Navarro wraps up strong Valencia test

The first test of the year ended in a positive fashion yesterday for the Team Federal Oil Gresini Moto2 and Jorge Navarro: in good weather conditions, the team and the Spanish rider made two fruitful days of testing at the Ricardo Tormo circuit in Valencia, starting to work with good results on the 2017 Kalex Moto2 machine.

Navarro put in no less than 173 laps over the two days, constantly improving: setting 1’36”833 in the first day of testing, he then managed to progress, clocking 1’36”271 on the second and final day.

The Team Federal Oil Gresini Moto2 Team now moves to Jerez de la Frontera for two more days of testing scheduled on 22nd and 23rd of February.

JORGE NAVARRO

“It was a very positive test: actually, we started for the first time to work seriously on the bike set-up. In the tests we carried out last November in fact we just made some laps, without making any changes, because of my physical problems. This time we could begin our work and the sensations are very good, with a steady improvement over the two days. I feel comfortable on the bike, so now I can’t wait to get to Jerez to continue testing!”.
