NAVARRO: “IT’S A VERY DIFFERENT BIKE COMPARED TO THE 2017 VERSION”

The three-day Andalusian Moto2 test has drawn to a close for Team Federal Oil Gresini Moto2, with Jorge Navarro that leaves Jerez in a positive mood. The young Spaniard was able to complete a total of 38 laps between the first and second sessions of the day as he worked hard with his crew to get a good feeling on board his Kalex machine #9 without pushing for a quick lap-time.

His best lap-time of the test came today in 1’42.435secs, with Navarro still quite far from the top but in clear progression.

In less than a month’s time Jerez will host the final pre-season test for Moto2, with Jorge Navarro who will take this time to recover from a painful shoulder that has bothered him throughout the test.

JORGE NAVARRO #9

“It has been a positive test despite our final position wasn’t exactly what we were looking for. We found some good settings which will help us improve some more in the next test and that will be of good use for the season. The bike we started to use is quite different from last year’s machine and it requires a different riding style, because this is the only way I can be fast with it. We haven’t been slow, but the ones ahead of me were quite quick. We’re all very close to each other and I’m sure that with some fine tuning we will be able to recover a good number of positions.”
