The first day of Moto2 action at Termas de Rio Hondo in Argentina was an almost-perfect one for Team Federal Oil Gresini Moto2 and their rider Sam Lowes, who immediately placed himself near the sharp end of the field after the first two free practice sessions.<\/p>\n
Courtesy of a 1\u201944.240secs lap-time, Sam Lowes was second in the morning\u2019s FP1 and managed to confirm his position in the afternoon session by going 0.8secs faster while working well with the squad led by Tommaso Raponi. By his own admission, there is still a lot of room for improvement.<\/p>\n
With the direct admission into Q2 almost certain, Lowes will aim to claim the same Argentine pole position he took back in 2016 \u2013 a goal well within reach for the Gresini rider.<\/p>\n
