Austin\u2019s Circuit of the Americas will host the third event of 2019 for the middleweight class of MotoGP, with the experienced British rider eager to make amends after the difficult race at Termas de Rio Hondo, which ended up prematurely due to a low side.<\/p>\n<p>The standard bearer of Team Federal Oil Gresini has always qualified on the front row in the last three editions of the American Grand Prix he contested as Moto2 rider \u2013 second in 2015 and 2018, third in 2016 \u2013 while winning the race in 2015 and finishing second the following year \u2013 when he was racing with the Faenza-based squad.<\/p>\n<p>Moto2 action will begin on Friday with the first two free practice session, which will get underway at 10:55 and 15:10 local time (GMT -5), with qualifying scheduled on Saturday at 15:05 and race the following day from 12:20.<strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>SAM LOWES #22<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>\u201cI\u2019m really looking forward to Austin: I have great memories of that track, and funnily enough it\u2019s not among my favourites. I won my first Moto2 race there. Obviously Argentina didn\u2019t end up well, but we were quick. We were also quick in Qatar and in Jerez, so I see no reason why we wouldn\u2019t be quick in Austin. This is a track I really like, so the goal is to get a good amount of points in order to get to Europe in the best possible condition.
