The reigning MotoE World Cup Champion was in the top positions already from the very first sessions and managed to lead the field as the official test drew to a close courtesy of a 1\u201947.494 lap-time.<\/p>\n<p>Ferrari, who completed around 50 laps across the three days, worked with the team on the bike set-up to continue the develop and do some fine-tuning ahead of the season opener, which is scheduled to take place at this very track in the early days of May.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Alessandro Zaccone<\/strong> had his very first shakedown test with the Trentino-liveried Energica prototype number #61. The young Italian rider had a lot to learn, and mainly focused on adapting his riding style to a bike that is surely quite different to what he was used to. His personal best time of 1\u201948.744secs placed him in 13<sup>th<\/sup>positin.<\/p>\n<p>The next event on the calendar for MotoE is the second and last official test, which is scheduled to take place in less than a month\u2019s time (8-10 April), obviously depending on the well-known worldwide situation.<\/p>\n<p><strong>MATTEO FERRARI #11<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt was a good test. We made a big step forward set-up wise and there\u2019s still some changes to make to understand if the direction we\u2019re taking is the right one \u2013 and there\u2019s no better situation to do so than during testing. It wasn\u2019t easy, especially as we did not have the telemetry engineer with us since day two. We made an effort to fill his absence: from my side to make myself clear and from the team to make the changes we needed. I set some good lap-times which came quite naturally, so this surely is a good sign.\u201d<strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>ALESSANDRO ZACCONE #61<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt was my first outing with MotoE and it was helpful to understand the bike a bit. You feel the weight quite a lot and the bike has to be ridden in a smoother way than a Moto2 one. You need to let it ride quite a lot on corner entry \u2013 which is opposite to Moto2 \u2013 and braking is a lot less. In general, everything is very different to what I\u2019m used to. Having said that, we improved session after session, aside from a battery issue which didn\u2019t allow us to make the most of FP3 yesterday.
