{"id":14043,"date":"2020-07-19T14:53:39","date_gmt":"2020-07-19T12:53:39","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.gresiniracing.com\/primi-punti-europei-per-il-team-kommerling\/"},"modified":"2020-07-19T14:54:22","modified_gmt":"2020-07-19T12:54:22","slug":"primi-punti-europei-per-il-team-kommerling","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.gresiniracing.com\/en\/primi-punti-europei-per-il-team-kommerling\/","title":{"rendered":"FIRST EUROPEAN POINTS FOR TEAM K\u00d6MMERLING GRESINI  \u00a0"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Team K\u00f6mmerling Gresini Moto3 <\/strong>played a big role in today\u2019s Moto3 encounter at Jerez, although the results do not give them justice: Gabriel Rodrigo was seventh at the line, with Jeremy Alcoba down in 15<sup>th<\/sup> position.<\/p>\n<p>The Spanish rookie, who qualified in sixth place, was showing a great level of form and for big parts of the race he was running near the front with the best in the category, even battling for the top spot towards the halfway point of the encounter. Then a bit too many mistakes and a penalty inflited to him with two laps to go have dealt a big blow to Alcoba\u2019s performance. The only point scored surely left a bitter taste in his mouth especially after what he managed to show on track, but surely there will be another chance to make amends very, very soon.<\/p>\n<p>Gabriel Rodrigo had a more of a \u2018safe\u2019 approach \u2013 it that can even be possible in a Moto3 race \u2013 with the Argentine who came very close to entering the top five, but a collision with a rival prevented him from battling for the podium in the final laps. The #2 rider of <strong>Team K\u00f6mmerling Gresini Moto3 <\/strong>is currently sixth in the general standings with 19 points.<\/p>\n<p><strong>7<sup>th<\/sup> &#8211; GABRIEL RODRIGO #2<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt\u2019s been a very difficult race and after such a long time this is a good result. There have been a lot of battles, some of them very aggressive and maybe that was the reason I couldn\u2019t fight for the podium. We had a great pace, but with five laps to go I had a coming together with another rider and went from fifth to tenth. I tried to get back into the podium battle, but time was too short. I\u2019m still happy: we\u2019ll use all the information we have to seek \u2018revenge\u2019 next week, still at this track!\u201d<\/p>\n<p><strong>15<sup>th<\/sup> &#8211; JEREMY ALCOBA #52<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe did a great job and the bike was perfect. We battled hard and I learned a lot. Unfortunately I was too eager to do well and the inexperience in the series kind of tricked me; we could have been at the front for the whole race. I also had a coming together towards the end which made me lose touch and the penalty then gave me the final blow.
