Strong wind and low temperatures characterised the first day of practice of the #AragonGP, especially in the morning when the Moto3 class riders \u2013 which took to the track first \u2013 struggled to find pace on a slippery and challenging track.<\/p>\n
Things went better in the afternoon with Gabriel Rodrigo<\/strong> and Jeremy Alcoba 13th<\/sup> and 16th<\/sup>, respectively, in the combined times of today\u2019s two free practice sessions. The Argentine \u2013 despite a crash \u2013 was able to show a good pace while lapping on his own (low 2\u201900secs) and in the final moments, even though the feeling with the bike was not ideal, was able to make it (temporarily) in the group of the riders which will potentially be seeded to Q2.<\/p>\n Jeremy Alcoba<\/strong>\u2019s 1\u201959.346secs time was good news: the gap with the top-14 is minimal (a matter of milliseconds) and despite the hand not being 100% he managed to be competitive. The #52 rider will try to get direct access to Q2 during tomorrow\u2019s FP3, which will get underway at 9:30 local time (GMT +2) following the new timetable for the GP.<\/p>\n 13th<\/sup> – GABRIEL RODRIGO #2 (1\u201959.192)<\/strong><\/p>\n \u201cIt was a positive day despite the track being very challenging due to the low temperatures. In the afternoon things went a lot better: I lapped on my own and had a great pace until the crash happened, which slowed down our work a bit. We wanted to try some adjustments and in the second outing \u2013 with new tyres \u2013 I wasn\u2019t feeling perfect and therefore I couldn\u2019t make the most of the last part of the session.
