#DutchGP race<\/u><\/em>. There is no need to hide it: the expectations for today\u2019s race were a lot higher, especially in light of yesterday\u2019s excellent qualifying performance which saw Jeremy Alcoba <\/strong>claiming pole position while Gabriel Rodrigo <\/strong>earned a spot on the second row of the grid. Rodrigo\u2019s eighth place at the line, two positions ahead of Alcoba leave a bitter taste in the team\u2019s mouth before the summer break.<\/p>\n

The race was a very quick one and neither of the Indonesian Racing Gresini Moto3 <\/strong>riders had the pace to battle at the front of the field. Still, the valuable points earned today put Rodrigo and Alcoba eighth and night in the standings, respectively \u2013 separated by only one point.<\/p>\n

The Moto3 World Championship will now enter the summer break and will return to action at Spielberg on early August for the first of two back to back races at the Austrian track.<\/p>\n

8th – GABRIEL RODRIGO #2<\/strong><\/p>\n

(8th in the championship standings \u2013 59 points)<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u201cWe struggled quite a bit at the circuit, especially at changing direction. As I said yesterday, we were not as competitive in terms of pace as we were in other races and unfortunately today the situation didn\u2019t improve. I stayed in touch with the front group as long as I could, but then a mistake by Artigas ahead of me cost me some ground and I there was no chance for me to bridge the gap. A bit of rest will be useful to reset and recharge.\u201d<\/p>\n

10th – JEREMY ALCOBA #52<\/strong><\/p>\n

(9th in the championship standings \u2013 58 points)<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u201cWe gave it all and then some today, but we didn\u2019t have the pace to battle at the front. I\u2019m really knackered exhausted after such a tough race. It\u2019s a shame because we really wanted to play our part in the fight after yesterday.
