RACE – #SanMarinoGP<\/i> Strong and contrasting emotions ran through the pit-box of team Gresini Racing Moto2<\/b> in this Sunday of racing on the Adriatic coast of Italy. Alessandro Zaccone<\/b> managed to get back in the top-15, while Filip Sala\u010d <\/b>found himself out of contention due to a coming together with another rider.<\/p>\n

The Italian rider #61 started the race from 22nd<\/sup> place on the grid, he picked up the pace lap by lap and he eventually achieved the goal he had set for himself\u00a0 <\/span>to score a point in his home race.<\/p>\n

It was a Sunday to forget instead for Sala\u010d, who fell off his bike on lap four after a coming together with another rider \u2013 which made him lose any hope for a comeback race. The Czech rider was transferred to the medical centre after the big highside, but (luckily) nothing major was found: he will be back at Aragon and eager to bounce back.<\/p>\n

15<\/b>th<\/sup><\/b> – ALESSANDRO ZACCONE #61<\/b><\/p>\n

\u201cIt was a difficult race at the beginning; I really struggle with fresh tyres on. I was able to bounce back towards the end and I had a good pace. I\u2019m sorry that I end up losing so much ground in the early part of the encounter until the tyre grip decreases, but a point is surely a confidence boost!\u201d<\/p>\n

DNF – FILIP SALA\u010c #12<\/b><\/p>\n

\u201cIt was a difficult race for us: we could have had a great race as we reverted back to the hard tyre option and with that the feeling with the bike came back. Unfortunately after a few laps a coming together with a rival triggered a big highside. Luckily I\u2019m fine, but the body hurts everywhere \u2013 I think it may have been the biggest crash of my Moto2 career so far. We were unlucky. I\u2019m instead happy for Zac, who was back in the top-15: this result will surely help him in the next races.\u201d<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
