The most-traditional Malaysian afternoon downpour ensured the morning lap-times Team Gresini MotoGP\u2019s Enea Bastianini and Fabio Di Giannantonio were quick enough for both riders to be in the provisional \u2018Q2-worthy\u2019 top ten.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p>The #23 and #49 were fourth and eighth, respectively, in the combined times of today\u2019s two Free Practice sessions, a result that would automatically open the door to Qualifying 2 should FP3 take place in wet or mixed conditions.<\/p>\n<p>Despite the less-significant times set in the afternoon, both sides of the Gresini Racing garage worked hard in order to be ready for a possible wet race.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>4<\/b><b><sup>th<\/sup><\/b><b> &#8211; ENEA BASTIANINI #23 (1\u201959.875s)<\/b><\/p>\n<p>\u201cI\u2019m happy with the morning\u2019s performance: we did well on the dry, even though the feeling wasn\u2019t the same as during testing. There\u2019s a lot of work to do in wet conditions because I wasn\u2019t comfortable on the bike \u2013 and we still need to fine-tune something on our dry-track set-up. We\u2019re in Q2 for now and we did well in using the soft tyre. Now we hope for a dry FP3 to continue working.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><b>8<\/b><b><sup>th<\/sup><\/b><b> &#8211;<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>FABIO DI GIANNANTONIO #49 (2\u201900.552s)<\/b><\/p>\n<p>\u201cWas a good Friday; we started off well, but that\u2019s how it is often times.
