In a parallel universe, Team Gresini MotoGP\u2019s<\/b> Alex Marquez<\/b> and Fabio Di<\/b> Giannantonio <\/b>are resting after FP2 with the eight and tenth quickest times and the direct admission to Q2 granted.<\/p>\n

Unfortunately, Espargar\u00f3\u2019s crash in the fourth sector and the subsequent yellow flag have deprived the Rome-born rider of his well-deserved time, and he was eventually only 19th<\/sup> at the chequered flag. This stroke of bad luck did not take anything else away from the good performance by Fabio Di Giannantonio<\/strong>, who will be among the favourites to make it through Q1.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

For Alex Marquez<\/strong> the Q2 was never a given but has become a certainty in this season. He will likely have a shot at a place on the first two rows at Misano.<\/p>\n

\u201cThings went quite good. We improved consistently in a Friday that was definitely different from Montmel\u00f3, where we made some mistakes. We didn\u2019t have a great feeling with the medium tyre, but things went better with the softer option. We surely have to do something in the first split where we lose a lot, but we know where to work on.\u201d<\/p>\n
