{"id":34572,"date":"2023-11-19T18:59:25","date_gmt":"2023-11-19T17:59:25","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.gresiniracing.com\/?p=34572"},"modified":"2023-11-19T19:01:49","modified_gmt":"2023-11-19T18:01:49","slug":"alcoba-15th-at-the-line-in-qatar","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.gresiniracing.com\/en\/alcoba-15th-at-the-line-in-qatar\/","title":{"rendered":"ALCOBA 15th AT THE LINE IN QATAR"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The Qatar race never ceases to disappoint under the floodlights of the Lusail International Circuit. <b>Jeremy Alcoba<\/b> started the race from 19<sup>th<\/sup> place on the grid and struggled to get up to speed but then, as tyre wear increased and the fuel tank emptied a bit more, he was able to replicate the same lap recorded in Q1 and, thanks to a solid and consistent pace in the second half of the encounter, he made his way back to the top 15.<\/p>\n<p><b>Filip Sala\u010d<\/b>\u2019s<b> <\/b>Sunday finished too early<b>: <\/b>an engine problem prevented the Czech rider to line up and take part in the Qatari Grand Prix. Next weekend there will be one more chance at Valencia to bounce back from this streak of difficult races.<\/p>\n<p><b>15<\/b><b><sup>th<\/sup><\/b><b> &#8211; JEREMY ALCOBA #52<\/b><\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe did all we could: I couldn\u2019t do more than this. During the warm up lap I didn\u2019t have a good feeling, so we decided to make a set up change with the bike, but unfortunately it didn\u2019t feel right in the first part of the race. Then with the tyre wear and the emptier tank the feeling improved and started to have fun. The pace got better and I was even able to repeat my Q1 time. We have tried, made up some positions and earned a point. We\u2019ll try again at Valencia.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><b>DNF &#8211; FILIP SALA\u010c #12<\/b><\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt was a Sunday to forget, unfortunately we couldn\u2019t make it to the starting grid due to an engine issue.
