The final race of the season was an emotion filled encounter, as Alcoba<\/b> and Sala\u010d tackled their last outing aboard the Gresini\u2019s light-blue machines. The Spanish rider #52 put together a good comeback from twenty-third place on the grid as he crossed the line fifteenth for one last point given to the Faenza-based squad.<\/p>\n
Filip Sala\u010d<\/b>, on the other hand, had an unfortunate start to the race as he had to avoid a rider who crashed in front of him, an incident that cost him a lot of positions (he crossed the line in 28th<\/sup> place at the end of lap one). The Czech rider managed to recover several position courtesy of a fast and consistent pace (low 1\u201934s) and eventually finished seventeenth.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n Matteo Ferrari<\/b>\u2019s wildcard appearance was wrapped up by a solid performance in the race: the Rimini-born rider started the encounter from twenty-fourth place on the grid and, overtake after overtake, he managed to secure a nineteenth-place finish.
