The second day of action for the British Grand Prix was looking good for Team Gresini MotoGP<\/b> around the fast-flowing, technical Silverstone Circuit. The morning\u2019s last-call direct seed to Q2 turned things around for Alex Marquez<\/b> as the #73 then managed to secure fifth place on the grid before battling for points throughout the sprint race \u2013 which he finished in sixth place.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

A brave but unfortunate performance, on the other hand, for Marc Marquez<\/b>. The rider #93 had a strong start to the encounter, overtook Acosta and Binder before crashing out while he was running in a lonely fourth place. No points under his bag and a great desire to make amends tomorrow at 14:00 local time (GMT +1)<\/p>\n

6<\/b>th<\/sup><\/b> – ALEX MARQUEZ #73<\/b><\/p>\n

\u201cI got a good start, but made a small mistake at turn one and lost ground. We had the same rhythm as Marc and we were surely quicker than Binder and Acosta, but it\u2019s good anyway. Maybe I lost a bit too much time in the fight with Di Giannantonio, but that\u2019s it. Surely things are looking brighter for tomorrow, compared to yesterday: the feeling is good, even though we\u2019re aware that there are at least four riders that are currently on better form than us.\u201d<\/p>\n

DNF – MARC MARQUEZ #93<\/b><\/p>\n

\u201cCrash aside, it was a positive day. We found back a decent feeling on the bike, and we adapted to my riding style. We were in the top five during the race and that was the goal, but unfortunately we took a risk to get there with the hard front tyre.
