The young Spaniard and his crew spent most of today\u2019s track time trying to work on the bike behaviour under braking, which is the key area to improve to challenge for top honours on Sunday. Martin finished the day in fifth place courtesy of a 2\u201917.617 secs lap-time.<\/p>\n<p>Fabio Di Giannantonio is aiming to turn his luck around in Texas after two difficult races in Qatar and Argentina. The 18-year-old Italian rider completed more than 20 laps today as he tried to get up to speed on board his Honda machine and improve his feeling with the bike. \u201cDiggia\u201d was 17<sup>th<\/sup> in the combined times of today\u2019s two free practice sessions.<\/p>\n<p>The on-track action for the Grand Prix of Americas will resume tomorrow with free practice 3 and qualifying, scheduled to get underway at 9:00 and 12:35 local time (GMT -5).<\/p>\n<p>4\u00ba &#8211; JORGE MARTIN #88<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt hasn\u2019t been the easiest of days and I have to say that this track has never been too kind to me. I lapped as much as I could and we made a step forward between the two sessions, although we\u2019re still not where we\u2019d like to be. I hope we\u2019ll be able to improve some more tomorrow.<\/p>\n<p>17\u00ba &#8211; FABIO DI GIANNANTONIO #21<\/p>\n<p>\u201cToday was so and so. I was riding alone most of the time and I could not take advantage of slipstream which on this circuit are really important. We still have some problems to the front end of the bike which moves a lot and that did not aloud me to push 100%.
