{"id":5490,"date":"2017-05-06T17:54:32","date_gmt":"2017-05-06T15:54:32","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.gresiniracing.com\/en\/jerez-navarro-si-prepara-ad-gara-salita\/"},"modified":"2017-05-07T10:08:27","modified_gmt":"2017-05-07T08:08:27","slug":"jerez-navarro-si-prepara-ad-gara-salita","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.gresiniracing.com\/en\/jerez-navarro-si-prepara-ad-gara-salita\/","title":{"rendered":"NAVARRO LOOKING TO BOUNCE BACK AFTER CHALLENGING QUALIFYING"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Jorge Navarro and team Federal Oil Gresini have endured a challenging second day of action at \u2018Circuito de Jerez\u2019 today, which saw the 21-year-old Spanish rider only 21st at the end of qualifying after the good performances shown track in all three free practice sessions around the 4.4km Andalusian track.<br \/>\nNavarro was hoping to build on the 1&#8217;43.027secs lap-time set during FP3 \u2013 which if equalled in QP it would have given him a spot on the fourth row of the grid \u2013 but a crash at turn six with 15 minutes to go put an early end to his attempts for a good qualifying. Jorge was one of the many riders to fall victim of the greasy and slippery track surface encountered this afternoon at Jerez.<br \/>\nThe Valencian rider is now looking forward to a good start to the race, which is set to get underway at 12:20 local time (GMT +2).<br \/>\n<strong>21st &#8211; JORGE NAVARRO #9<\/strong><br \/>\n\u201cWe were having a good weekend prior to qualifying, but this afternoon track conditions changed quite a lot and I did not have the same feeling with the bike. I couldn\u2019t trust the front the same way I did before. I could have improved my time on the first outing already but there was a lot of traffic on the track, which slowed me down. Then track conditions got worse and nobody was able to improve. If that wasn\u2019t enough I also crashed out \u2013 unhurt \u2013 and that cost us a lot of precious time.
