{"id":5943,"date":"2017-06-03T15:18:17","date_gmt":"2017-06-03T13:18:17","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.gresiniracing.com\/en\/mugello-martin-poker-amaro-diggia-primissimi\/"},"modified":"2017-06-03T15:19:04","modified_gmt":"2017-06-03T13:19:04","slug":"mugello-martin-poker-amaro-diggia-primissimi","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.gresiniracing.com\/en\/mugello-martin-poker-amaro-diggia-primissimi\/","title":{"rendered":"MUGELLO: MARTIN\u2019S POLE DENIED, FRONT ROW FOR DIGGIA  \u00a0"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>It was a Saturday to remember in many ways for <strong>Team Del Conca Gresini Moto3<\/strong> at Mugello, as both team\u2019s standard bearers Jorge Martin and Fabio Di Giannantonio battled at the sharp end of the field in today\u2019s qualifying at Mugello Circuit in Italy.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Martin<\/strong> has proved once again to be absolutely unstoppable on the single lap by setting the pole position time in 1\u201957.176secs, which would have awarded him the fourth pole position of the season. The young Spaniard, however, was later penalised by race direction of 12 positions of the grid by repeatedly riding too slow in three sectors of the track during FP3 this morning.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Di Giannantonio<\/strong>\u2019s fourth place in qualifying, therefore, has turned into a front row qualifying and his best grid position in his Moto3 career so far. The 19-year-old Italian is now looking forward to racing for honours in front of his passionate home crowd.<\/p>\n<p>The Moto3 race of the Italian Grand Prix will get underway tomorrow at 11am local time (GMT +2), with the final starting grid that could still be amended before the start.<\/p>\n<p><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><strong>JORGE MARTIN #88<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt\u2019s been a good day after all. I\u2019m happy because I feel great on the bike with race tyres and, in any case, I was able to set the fastest time of qualifying. It won\u2019t be easy tomorrow as I\u2019ll be starting from 13th place on the grid, but I don\u2019t want to let myself down. We need to be careful on the opening lap to avoid any early drama, then get to the front of the field as quickly as possible to try and win the race.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><strong>FABIO DI GIANNANTONIO #21<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>\u201cFinally a good start to the race weekend! We were quick yesterday, while today we struggled a bit with lower temperatures, which affected the bike\u2019s behaviour at the front-end, but we did well in qualifying. We will start from the front, definitely a new feeling for me! It will be a great race!
