The <strong>Federal Oil Gresini Moto2 <\/strong>rider, therefore, improves on his previous best result in the class \u2013 a ninth-place finish scored one week ago at Mugello.<\/p>\n<p>Navarro had a very solid race, especially in the first half, as he kept a consistently-fast pace and closed in on the group ahead fighting for third. Once in the back of series leader Franco Morbidelli, though, Jorge had a few moments after which he chose to maintain his position up to the chequered flag to add nine more points to his tally of 22.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI\u2019m very happy with Jorge\u2019s performance as it clearly showed a big improvement\u201d says team manager <strong>Fausto Gresini<\/strong>. \u201cHe\u2019s clearly getting more and more comfortable with the bike and the category, which is definitely not an easy thing to do in such short time. It has been a solid performance to add to the one of last weekend at Mugello, although obviously this being his home race it surely felt more special. We still need to improve a little bit more, but not too much. I would say great job first of all to him and then to all the team.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><strong>7th &#8211; JORGE NAVARRO #9<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>\u201cMontmel\u00f3 proves to be once again a very important venue for me. We did great here one year ago and we were able to do as good this year, too, especially at the beginning of the race. This is my best result so far in this class: I really enjoyed the first half of the race, because my pace was consistently quick.
