Team Del Conca Gresini Moto3 returned to action today at Jerez de la Frontera for the second, three-day private test of 2018, which comes few days after the one \u2013 heavily affected by rain \u2013 performed at Valencia.
\nAdverse weather conditions were once again a factor today, although Jorge Martin and Fabio Di Giannantonio were able to make the most of the first and third sessions of the day and managed to complete around 40 laps each.<\/p>\n

Martin continued to work with his crew on the engine brake as he topped the timesheets courtesy of a 1\u201946.857 lap-time, while Diggia was busy trying to find a good feeling with the front-end of his Honda NSF250RW machine.
\nMoto3 action will resume tomorrow morning with the second of three days of testing, which on paper should be blessed by favourable weather.\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

JORGE MARTIN #88<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u201cWe didn\u2019t lap as much as I would have liked but I\u2019m happy with how today went anyway. We are still working on the engine brake \u2013 just like in Valencia \u2013 which is the area of the bike that still doesn\u2019t fully convince me under braking. Unfortunately there was quite a wind which didn\u2019t allow us to be consistent lap-times wise, but I\u2019m sure things will be better tomorrow as good weather is expected.\u201d<\/p>\n

FABIO DI GIANNANTONIO #21<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u201cWe did well today. We did a lot of work on the bike set-up and especially at the rear-end because it was sliding quite a lot. We are getting better and the most positive aspect Is that we set a decent lap-time even though we weren’t really looking for one – and even without using a softer tyre. We have a lot of Ideas for tomorrow and I hope we will be able to put them into practice.”<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
