{"id":8007,"date":"2018-03-17T19:13:55","date_gmt":"2018-03-17T18:13:55","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.gresiniracing.com\/navarro-ce-settima-piazza-nelle-qualifiche-losail\/"},"modified":"2018-03-17T19:14:42","modified_gmt":"2018-03-17T18:14:42","slug":"navarro-ce-settima-piazza-nelle-qualifiche-losail","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.gresiniracing.com\/en\/navarro-ce-settima-piazza-nelle-qualifiche-losail\/","title":{"rendered":"NAVARRO CLAIMS SEVENTH PLACE ON THE GRID IN QATAR"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Jorge Navarro<\/strong> has had so far a very encouraging start to the 2018 Moto2 World Championship as the <strong>Team Federal Oil Gresini Moto2<\/strong> rider was one of the protagonists of today\u2019s qualifying at the Losail International Circuit by claiming seventh place on the grid for tomorrow\u2019s opening race of the season.<strong><\/p>\n<p><\/strong>One year ago, Navarro\u2019s debut Moto2 qualifying session ended up with a seventeenth spot on the grid; over the course of last year he managed to qualify better than today only in two occasions &#8211; at Brno (5<sup>th<\/sup>) and Aragon (6<sup>th<\/sup>).<\/p>\n<p>With a 2\u201901.038secs lap-time, Navarro finished only seven tenths of a second away from Alex Marquez\u2019s pole position, but most of all only 0.2secs from the front row. Tomorrow, starting from 17:20 local time (GMT +1), Navarro will start the hunt for points in the first Moto2 race of the year.<strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>7\u00ba &#8211; JORGE NAVARRO #9<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe weekend started on a high, although on both FP2 and FP3 I wasn\u2019t feeling too comfortable on the bike. There was something that wasn\u2019t working perfectly, so we went for a big change for qualifying. I got used to the new set up quite quickly and already on the second lap we were able to log a good time.
