Despite a not-too-exciting start, the Spanish rider managed to stay out of the way of the big group of riders, but eventually braked a bit too early and was hit by Binder \u2013 who was following him closely.<\/p>\n<p>Navarro had to make his way to the pits and was forced to an early retirement due to a badly-damaged exhaust.<\/p>\n<p>This unfortunate incident was the sad note of an otherwise positive weekend, in which Navarro built momentum session after session while managing to score his so-far best Moto2 qualifying result. The coming together with Binder has halted Navarro\u2019s progression in the standings and now the #9 will try to make amends in the upcoming GP of Americas at Austin, Texas.<\/p>\n<p><strong>DNF \u2013 JORGE NAVARRO #9<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>\u201cThere\u2019s not much to say, really. I was cautious during the race because the track was still a bit wet \u2013 and I chose to start on slicks.
