The opening day of free practice for the Red Bull Grand Prix of The Americas<\/strong> has undoubtedly been a positive one for Team Del Conca Gresini Moto3<\/strong>, with Jorge Martin<\/strong> and Fabio Di Giannantonio <\/strong>both at the sharp end of the field.<\/p>\n

Spain\u2019s Martin was the quickest in both of today sessions, as he clocked in 2\u201920.005secs at the end of FP1 before improving his personal best lap-time by almost three seconds in the afternoon (2\u201917.423). Diggia\u2019s step forward between Free Practice 1 and 2 was even bigger as the young Italian improved by 3.019secs to claim third place at the end of the first day of action in Austin drew to a close.<\/p>\n

Moto3 action will continue tomorrow with Free Practice 3 and Qualifying, which will take place at 9:00 and 12:35 local time (GMT -5), respectively.<\/p>\n

1st – JORGE MARTIN #88<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019m really happy with how today\u2019s gone, I was really looking forward to getting here and do well as I\u2019ve always had something happening here, but today everything went perfect. The track was a bit dirty in the morning, but things improved a lot during FP2. In any case, we\u2019re in the lead at the moment and we\u2019ll wait for tomorrow to keep pushing and improving.\u201d<\/p>\n

3rd – FABIO DI GIANNANTONIO #21<\/strong><\/p>\n
