{"id":9829,"date":"2018-10-07T09:02:39","date_gmt":"2018-10-07T07:02:39","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.gresiniracing.com\/di-giannantonio-re-di-thailandia-martin-4o-e-sempre-piu-leader\/"},"modified":"2018-10-07T09:03:22","modified_gmt":"2018-10-07T07:03:22","slug":"di-giannantonio-re-di-thailandia-martin-4o-e-sempre-piu-leader","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.gresiniracing.com\/en\/di-giannantonio-re-di-thailandia-martin-4o-e-sempre-piu-leader\/","title":{"rendered":"DI GIANNANTONIO WINS IN THAILAND AS MARTIN EXTENDS LEAD  \u00a0"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The first-ever race day for the Moto3 World Championship was an excellent one for <strong>Team Del Conca Gresini Moto3\u00a0<\/strong>and <strong>Fabio Di Giannantonio<\/strong>, who won his second race of the season \u2013 and his career \u2013 while <strong>Jorge Martin\u00a0<\/strong>narrowly misses out on a podium in what was a very complicated day for him.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Di Giannantonio <\/strong>took 25, crucial points for his Moto3 chase \u2013 he is now 29 points away from the top and only 3 from Bezzecchi \u2013 at the end of a Thai Grand Prix race that was heavily affected by high temperatures and by an equally big number of overtakes: even towards the end of the encounter, the battle for supremacy involved 6\/7 riders.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Jorge Martin <\/strong>was also part of that group, after the Spaniard was even down to 18<sup>th<\/sup>: the series leader did a great job in not losing focus and stayed away from trouble; he also took advantage of a coming together between Bastianini and Bezzecchi to move up to fourth and extend his championship lead to 26 points. <strong><br \/>\n<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Team Del Conca Gresini Moto3 will now turn their attention on the Japanese event, which could give them the team World Championship title: with 100 points still to be awarded, the Gresini effort is 99 points ahead of main rival PruestelGP in second.<\/p>\n<p><strong>1<sup>st<\/sup>&#8211; FABIO DI GIANNANTONIO #21<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt was the most difficult race of my career. Temperatures were sky high and it was difficult to stay upright while battling with so many riders for the win. We put our hearts in it and won an extremely important race for our championship hopes. I wasn\u2019t completely comfortable with the bike, but also what happened wth the clinica was absolutely unexpected. I still cannot open my hand due to the nerve, so using the clutch was very, very difficult. We had to manufacture a special glove in order for me to change gears, which was a work of art.
