FERRARI UNBEATABLE AS HE DOES THE DOUBLE IN AUSTRIA
MATTEO FERRARI #11
“I’d say this weekend went really well! I’m very happy with both races: in race one I managed to pull away immediately and then control the situation. In the past, I would have likely made a mistake, while today I managed to stay focused and maintain the lead until the end. Race two was different as the wind was really strong and that prevented us to pull a gap, as the chasing riders could close in using the slipstream. I made a couple of mistakes at turn four, which I’ll work on: aside from that, I’m very happy, the bike was working really well. Now we’ll have three rounds in a row, with the goal to keep the momentum going!”
ALESSIO FINELLO #72
“I’m quite happy with race one as I managed to make up a couple of positions and to finish in P11, very close to the top ten and with a good and consistent pace. I was feeling good and I knew I could have done more in Race two: unfortunately an opponent’s crash at turn two compromised my race as I had to run off-track to avoid being involved, and when I rejoined I had a coming together with another rider. After that, I was basically on my own and far away from the group of riders ahead. Still, I recovered a couple of positions and a got up to speed again, with my pace being not too bad. I could see the group ahead of me and I wanted to get in the mix, but unfortunately we were unlucky. We’re still aware of our speed and we now head to Balaton even more charged up.”
