SEVENTH PLACE FOR FERRARI IN HUNGARIAN QUALIFYING

MATTEO FERRARI #11

“It was a different Friday compared to the previous one: in Practice, we made a few mistakes and had a small crash, but we still managed to turn things around by going from Q1 to Q2. The wind was very strong in the final qualifying session, and it took me a little to adapt: the second row was absolutely within our reach, likely the front row as well, but we ran out of battery during the final attempt. We still finished seventh and the third row isn’t too bad: now we’ll analyse the data ahead of tomorrow but I’m confident; tomorrow we’ll try to make up as many places as possible in both races.”

ALESSIO FINELLO #72

“Tough day: new track on the calendar, upon which I had ridden for a two day test, albeit on a completely different bike. From the first free practice to qualifying, we made a good progression and the confidence rose, but it wasn’t enough: the level here is very high and we’ll start from fourteenth place on the grid. I crashed in Q1: we need to analyse what happened in order to avoid repeating the same mistake. Overall I’m happy with the step forward: tomorrow we’ll try to do some more and make progress. This year has been particularly challenging, but we’re not giving up.”
