THIRD ROW FOR LOPEZ; GARCIA MATCHES HIS BEST QUALIFYING RESULT OF THE SEASON IN TWELFTH
ALONSO LOPEZ #21
“Unfortunately, we weren’t able to put together the perfect lap, but we made progress and I felt better every lap, so I’m disappointed because I know we could have achieved a better lap-time. On the fast lap I lost time in the first sector and couldn’t recover it afterwards. Still, we’re confident for tomorrow — we can have a good race.”
SERGIO GARCIA #3
“Today was a positive day, really nice! I felt very comfortable with the bike this morning in FP2, where we worked with the race in mind. This afternoon I gave it everything in the time attack: I didn’t expect to be this competitive, but we set a fast time and completed a clean lap without mistakes. I’m happy — the position isn’t the best, but it still gives us the chance to fight tomorrow. I’m finding my feeling again and I’m happy about that. Tomorrow I want to have a good race, keep a strong pace, and aim to finish in the top ten.”
