DIFFICULT DAY IN ASSEN’S SCORCHING HEAT
SERGIO GARCIA #3
“It was a complicated day. The asphalt was extremely hot and it was difficult to fully understand all the details. The feeling was not the best, but we are not far away. We need to work well on braking, in order to stop the bike in the best possible way, but I am confident for tomorrow. By making these adjustments, we have what it takes to move from Q1 to Q2 and finish with a strong qualifying result.”
MILAN PAWELEC #40
“This afternoon we started the session well. Then I tried to set a good pace on my own, but there were many yellow flags and that prevented us from improving further. The conditions did not help either: temperatures were really high and the heat put a lot of stress on the tyres. However, this was useful experience for me, as I learned how to manage the tyres better. We are continuing to work hard to improve and move towards the front, but we are still missing something. Tomorrow? I want to try to make it into Q2. It will be difficult because there are many strong riders in Q1, but we will give it our best shot!”
