4th ROW FOR LOPEZ AFTER A COMPLICATE QUALIFYING
ALONSO LOPEZ #21
“Today I expected to be able to do a little more. I’ve always been fast at this circuit, but tomorrow we will start from the fourth row. So, we have a lot of work to do ahead of the race, especially under braking. At the moment, we have the pace to fight for a top-10 finish, but that’s not enough for us. Now we need to keep our heads down and do everything we can to be more competitive tomorrow.”
SERGIO GARCIA #3
“Unfortunately, we weren’t able to complete many laps this morning due to the weather conditions and the track gradually drying, so we couldn’t make the most of the session to improve. In qualifying, we missed out on Q2 by a very small margin. We’re not far off, but the feeling still isn’t where I would like it to be. So, we need to keep working on the front-end feeling under braking in order to improve our pace and fight for points tomorrow.”
