“It was a good Friday. We found some good solutions and focused mainly on race pace. We still need to work on our single-lap performance, as it’s really difficult to put together a perfect lap. We’ll certainly go through all the data to try to be more competitive in qualifying tomorrow. Getting into Q2 is important, but even more important is getting that competitive feeling back on the bike. We’ll keep our heads down and try to climb up the order, both on the grid and in the race.”
MATTEO FERRARI
“Compared to Malaysia, we’ve already significantly closed the gap to the front-runners, so I’d consider it a positive Friday. Overall, things went well. We can certainly do much better in the time attack and find a few tenths in every sector. I’m really happy with the feeling on the bike and with the tyres. We did a lot of work on used tyres, and tomorrow morning, during the final free practice session, we’ll continue focusing on race pace.”
