THIRD ROW FOR NAVARRO AT ASSEN

For the fifth time this year, Jorge Navarro has achieved a top-10 grid position after qualifying ninth in this afternoon’s session at the TT Assen Circuit. The rider of Team Federal Oil Gresini, who has so far enjoyed a solid weekend, was able to find some interesting settings during FP3, which allowed him to finish the second day of the #DutchGP with a lap-time of 1’37.856 – only 0.248 shy of Bagnaia’s pole position.

There is still some regret for the crash at turn eight during QP, which happened with 19 minutes left and forced him back at the pits until the end.

Navarro will try to right the wrongs tomorrow in the middleweight’s class race, which gets underway at the van Drenthe circuit at 12:20 local time (GMT +2).

9th– JORGE NAVARRO #9

“We went out with the softest tyre, which yesterday had given me some issues when I tried to push with the front-end. Today we made a change to avoid this issue and I was feeling better, but unfortunately I lost the front entering turn eight. I know why it happened and I’m not worried for tomorrow. We have a good set up and a good race pace, so I’m confident of my chances to do a good race tomorrow.”
