A POSITIVE SUNDAY FOR TEAM QJMOTOR GRESINI RACING

Race – #AustrianGP After a challenging Saturday, Team Moto2 QJMOTOR GRESINI RACING bounced back and place both their riders in the top 12. Thanks to some tweaks to the bike set-up made after qualifying, Filip Salač finally managed to find a good feeling also with high temperatures. He was on attack mode as soon as he started the race from 12th place on the grid and courtesy to a great pace, he managed to finish seventh. With today’s nine points, Salač is sixth in the championship standings and only eight points away from the top five.

Jeremy Alcoba also had a great comeback race from the back of the grid (25th) and overtake after overtake, he crossed the line twelfth. The Spanish rider, who also struggled in qualifying, also benefitted from a few set-up changes and bagged four points in the standings – where he is now 16th.

7th – FILIP SALAČ #12

“Finally a good result after a few tough races. I had fun today, I got a good start and the bike was working well. We made a few changes to the setup before the race so we didn’t know what to expect entering the race, but it was the right choice as we battled for sixth place up to the chequered flag, only to finish seventh. We got some important points for the championship and we got closer to the top five. I’d like to thank the team as they provided me with a spectacular bike, I’m very happy: I had great fun today!”

12th – JEREMY ALCOBA #52

“It wasn’t our best weekend; I struggled to find the confidence in qualifying and that meant that we started way back. We had the top 15 as a target and we did it, but we were 40 seconds behind the winner and that is a lot. I could have battled for a slightly better position, but I lost time in a fight with another rider. Next on the calendar is my home race, an extra motivation to give my all.”
