DIGGIA AND BULEGA TARGET RETURN TO FRONT AT JEREZ

Jerez de la Frontera is the venue hosting the fourth event of the season for Team Federal Oil Gresini Moto2. Fabio Di Giannantonio and Nicolò Bulega arrive to the south of Spain after an up-and-down performance – both on the track and in terms of results – in Portugal.

Fabio Di Giannantonio, who has a podium under his belt this year, wants to make amends after the 11thplace finish scored at Portimao: the ‘Circuito de Jerez Angel Nieto’ could be a good ally as the Italian has always been competitive at this track. His so-far best result there is a fifth place scored in 2017 and a first row start the following year (Moto3).

A similar history for Nicolò Bulega, who celebrated his first career pole and podium, with the rider  #11 who is aiming at ending the negative streak that sees him without points in the general standings. Proceedings will begin with free practice one at 10:55 local time (GMT +2) on Friday, while the race will return to its usual starting time at 12:20.

FABIO DI GIANNANTONIO #21

“Jerez de la Frontera is a track where I’ve always been quick. Surely, we can do well if we can put ourselves in the right conditions to do so. The goal is to return near the front and if we want to achieve it we need to work well at home, at the track and stay charged. I think we have all of this.

NICOLÒ BULEGA #11

“Jerez is a special track for me, and I have great memories there: my first pole and my first podium… I can say it’s a favourable circuit. This has to be our new starting point to leave behind these first three GPs and get our season going. We’re quick, even though we missed something under braking at Portimao, but I’m sure we’re ready for the Spanish GP.”
