BATTERY CHARGED FOR NAVARRO AHEAD OF BRNO

Jorge Navarro and Team Federal Oil Gresini Moto2 prepare for action as the MotoGP World Championship resumes this weekend on the historical track of Brno, Czech Republic, for the tenth round of the season. After the short summer break – in which he continued his training programme – the young Spanish rider is ready to return on track with the goal to stay in the top-15 after the promising performances of Assen and Sachsenring.

Last year, Navarro was among the fastest of the weekend as he claimed fifth place in qualifying and narrowly missed on a top-ten finish in a challenging wet race.

The first free practice session of the Czech Grand Prix will get underway at 10:55 local time (GMT +2), with the middleweight class race to begin at 12:20 on Sunday 5 August.

JORGE NAVARRO #9

“After the race at Sachsenring and the summer break, we head to Brno with great motivation. The Czech track gave us some good memories last year, especially in qualifying, while in the race we struggle a bit more due to the rain. It’s a track that suits my style well, so we’ll need to keep our head down and try to take home the best possible result.”
