ARENAS SURPRISES: FROM Q1, HE CLAIMS SECOND ROW START

ALBERT ARENAS #75

“The conditions were difficult today, with cold temperatures and wet track, and I had to give it all to make the difference riding-wise, and it was nice: we weren’t in an ideal situation but we made the most of the set-up we had, we stayed calm and collected, and we kept believing. We earned a second-row start: fifth place, which coming from Q1 it isn’t a bad result! We did a very good job and I’m happy with this day under the rain. Let’s see tomorrow: the forecast is still uncertain, but we’re strong both on the dry as well as in wet conditions, we’re ready and we’ll give it all.”

DARRYN BINDER #15

“A really different day for us: we woke up with the rain, then we had a mixed-condition (wet track, starting to dry up), but luckily it rained, so it was a full wet qualifying. I was improving lap by lap, really trying my absolute best, but unfortunately I hadn’t enough to pass to Q2. I’m super disappointed because I know that if I could have got through to Q2, I think I could have got a decent grid position. Anyway we take the positives, work on the things we need to, and let’s see what the weather brings tomorrow.”
