LOOK WHO IS BACK: DIGGIA FOURTH IN SPECTACULAR FULL RACE AT MANDALIKA

Fabio Di Giananntonio put together an outstanding performance on Sunday’s full-race distance as he made his way back from 16th to 4th in a race full of surprises. The standard bearer of Team Gresini Racing MotoGP had first a challenging start due to a small mistake, which cost him a few places, but did an excellent job in making up ground and positions and eventually scoring his so-far best result in the series – while also making his way to the parc fermé as the best independent rider of the day.

Championship standings also look much better for the #49, as Di Giannantonio moves up two positions and he is now 14th with 70 points.

Anche la classifica sorride per il #49, con Di Giannantonio che recupera 2 posizioni: ora 14º con 70 punti.

4th – FABIO DI GIANNANTONIO #49

“An incredible weekend. It was great because we were always fast and we did a crazy race. The start went worse than expected and lost several positions. I knew I had a good pace and a great feeling with the bike so I only thought about riding at my best, with such a long race ahead of me. I stayed focused and I was extremely quick, I was able to overtake so many that I eventually found myself in fourth place without knowing. It was a constant evolution all weekend: the work done by the team has been incredible and I would like to highlight especially the one done by my crew chief and my telemetry guy, but also everyone in the garage, because the bike was perfect.”
