AUSTIN: ALEX INTO Q2, FERMIN SHOWS PACE DESPITE PAIN
ALEX MARQUEZ #73
“Q2 went well, but the feeling is not at all what I would like. The rivals are strong and I’m not finding the sensations I want on the bike. The crash wasn’t anything serious; the bumps on the track certainly don’t help. In any case, we managed to set the fifth fastest time. Compared to last year, the bike forces me to change my riding style and I’m not riding naturally. The Jerez test will certainly be very important.”
FERMIN ALDEGUER #54
“This morning I wanted to go out on track without painkillers and I suffered quite a bit. In the afternoon, with the help of the clinic, everything changed. Physically I felt good and we were able to do a session almost normally. The initial idea was to manage myself a bit, but then I felt good and wanted to follow the same plan as last year, with four runs. It’s a pity about missing Q2, I definitely had the margin to make it.”
