BACK TO SPAIN FOR THE ARAGON GP

After a two-week break, the ITALJET GRESINI Moto2 Team is ready to get back on track for the thirteenth round of the Moto2 World Championship at MotorLand Aragón. The Spanish circuit, measuring 5.077 km and featuring 17 corners, is a demanding venue where tyre management and race pace consistency will play a crucial role.

Alonso Lopez heads to Aragón with plenty of confidence after a strong showing at Silverstone, where he proved he is back to full fitness and has completely recovered the use of his hand. His speed has never been in doubt, and the goal this weekend is to convert that potential into a strong result, with a podium finish firmly in his sights.

There is also a positive atmosphere on the other side of the garage. Sergio Garcia arrives at his home Grand Prix encouraged by his first top-ten finish of the season at Silverstone, a result that has boosted both his confidence and the team’s morale. The Spaniard is determined to build on the progress made in the previous round and use the support of the home crowd to continue his upward trend in the second half of the season.

 ALONSO LOPEZ #21

“I can’t wait to get on track at Aragón. It’s a circuit I’ve always really enjoyed and one where we can achieve a good result. We are coming from a solid weekend where we were fast, but we missed out on the race result. We need to keep working mainly on tyre management so we can make the final step forward ahead of Sunday’s race.”

SERGIO GARCIA #3

“After the good result at Silverstone, I’m arriving here feeling motivated and full of confidence. We need to keep working in the same way because we’re heading in the right direction. Now we have to confirm the positive feeling we found in Great Britain here at Aragón as well. We started this second half of the season on a positive note, and I want to keep that momentum going until the end of the year. I can’t wait for Friday!”
