BULEGA ON TOP FORM IN WET CONDITION AT THE MISANO WORLD CIRCUIT

Nicolò Bulega is back at the top of the timesheets of a practice session in Moto2 and he managed to do so at his home track – the Misano World Circuit. This is the best piece of news of what was otherwise a challenging Friday for the Federal Oil Gresini Moto2 Team.

At the end of the day, in fact, both Fabio Di Giannantonio and Nicolò Bulega are out of the Q2 ‘lot’ as their performance was affected by the mixed conditions encountered in the afternoon. Bulega chose to not take any chance and stayed in for almost the entirety of the FP2 session, while Di Giannantonio’s quick lap was halted by a yellow-flag situation – while the track was in the best conditions of the whole session.

25th – FABIO DI GIANNANTONIO #21 (1’44.218)

“We knew it would have been a challenging Friday weather-wise. This morning we took to the track with the idea of not taking too many risks, while it’s a shame for what happened in the afternoon as the yellow flags deployed during our quick-lap attempt did not allow us to fight for Q2. Hopefully tomorrow’s FP3 will be held dry in order to have another go at it, otherwise we’ll have to battle through Q1. We need to work hard in order to be among the protagonists already from tomorrow morning.”

28th – NICOLÒ BULEGA #11 (1’44.725)

“We’re absolutely ready in wet conditions: this morning, the feeling with the bike was incredible. In the afternoon, given the mixed conditions of the track we chose not to waste any tyre and we got on track only in the last five minutes. It was quite an unusual session, which gave us very little.”
