CHALLENGING FRIDAY UNDER THE TEXAN RAIN

DARRYN BINDER #15

“It was a rainy day, both practices were in wet conditions. This morning unfortunately midway trough the first practice I had a small crash: luckily I was able to go back to the pits and the guys were able to get the bike ready to go back out again, and I’m thankful for that. This afternoon started quite alright in the beginning, when there was still a little bit of water on the track, but as the dry line started to form toward the end, I started to struggle to improve. Let’s see tomorrow what we can do: obviously we’re going to Q1 and if it’s dry, it’s just more track time, so we need to try take the positives and trying get to Q2 and get a good grid position”.

ALBERT ARENAS #75

“This morning, in wet conditions, we didn’t manage to get a good feeling; then we learned a lot in the afternoon and things went a lot better. When the track started to dry up, I was struggling again in mixed conditions. We didn’t get the direct seed to Q2, but we know what we need to work on. Looks like it’s going to be dry tomorrow: we’ll do our best to get up to speed in the morning FP2 before trying to do a good job in Q1, get into Q2 and start at the front, in order to be competitive in the race”.
