DIGGIA GOOD ON THE DRY, BULEGA QUICK IN THE WET

#ValenciaGP Free Practice. The final event of the season has got underway in the most-traditional fashion at Valencia. The day was characterised by rain in the morning while the afternoon session was held in dry condition.

Up-and-down results for Team Federal Oil Gresini Moto3 with Nicolò Bulega (27th at the end of the day) happy in the morning, while in the afternoon he could not find the right feeling with his Kalex machine in FP2. Fabio Di Giannantonio went the opposite way as he chose to save tyres and energies in the morning and then in the afternoon he immediately found the right pace and speed with the ninth-quickest time of the day and the direct seed to Q2 in his hands.

9th – FABIO DI GIANNANTONIO #21 (1’36.191)

“It was a weird first day. We woke up thinking we would have had a sunny day one, but it didn’t turn out to be this way. We chose not to take any risk in FP1, knowing the rest of the weekend should be sunny. I felt good immediately with the bike in the afternoon even though we know we can improve. We need to stay positive to wrap up our Moto2 journey the best way.”

27th – NICOLÒ BULEGA #11 (1’37.131)

“In the wet I felt good immediately, but we couldn’t find the right set-up with a dry track. We need to keep working because I can’t be competitive this way or push the way I’d like.”
