TWO TUMBLES HALT NAVARRO’S PROGRESS ON DAY ONE AT VALENCIA

Jorge Navarro did not get off to a good start in his home GP at Valencia. The standard bearer of team Federal Oil Gresini Moto2 low-sided twice during the afternoon FP session – first at turn 14 and then at turn 4 – luckily with no injury.

The main issue for Navarro’s crashes lies into the weather, as the young Spaniard never lapped around the Ricardo Tormo track in wet conditions.

Navarro was eventually 18th in the combined times of today’s two free practice session with personal quickest time of 1’49.0secs.

18th – JORGE NAVARRO #9

“It was a difficult day. This morning the feeling with the bike was good; in the afternoon, I think because of the heavier rain, I crashed out twice and I don’t really understand why. In any case I’m positive and if it keeps raining we know which direction to keep.”
