ENEA THIRD OVERALL AND BEST INDEPENDENT RIDER AFTER VALENCIA FINALE
#ValenciaGP race. The curtains comes down at the end of one of the most incredible seasons in the history of Gresini Racing, with Enea Bastianini – who was seventh at the chequered flag today – finishing third overall in the 2022 MotoGP World Championship and Best Independent Team Rider.
The Valencia race was a very complicated one, with plenty of crashes and tension in the air: after a disappointing qualifying result, Enea did a great job in staying focused and finding a solid result in the points, while at the same time overtaking Aprilia and Aleix Espargaró in the standings (with the Spaniard forced to retire few minutes after the start of the race).
Fabio Di Giannantonio also put together an excellent performance as he was back in the points with a fifteenth-place finish. The Italian wraps up his rookie MotoGP season with 24 points and he will turn his head on 2023 from Tuesday already, with Alex Marquéz alongside him.
