FELO GRESINI MOTOE: OFF TO ASSEN FOR REDEMPTION
The Felo Gresini MotoE team is ready to get back on track for the second round of the MotoE World Championship, scheduled this weekend at the legendary Assen circuit in the Netherlands. After a challenging opening round, the team is determined to turn things around.
Matteo Ferrari heads to Assen eager for redemption: the first round saw him suffer two crashes, one in Race 1 and another in Race 2, despite having impressed during pre-season testing, where he won the race simulation and topped the combined timesheets. The potential is there, and the Italian rider is determined to translate it into results at the Dutch track.
Alessio Finello is also ready to bounce back: he finished the first two races in 10th and 11th place respectively, but now the goal is to raise the bar. Friday’s practice sessions will be crucial to find the right feeling and to prepare well for qualifying and the races, where Finello aims to fight for stronger positions.
MATTEO FERRARI #11
“It’s been a long break! I’m feeling charged and motivated: we’ve thoroughly analyzed the data and delved into the issues we encountered at Le Mans. We know we have the speed—now it’s crucial to stay calm. The result is within reach; we just need to stay focused and make it to the checkered flag. I really like Assen—it’s a track where I’ve won a lot, but also faced some tough moments, so we’ll keep our feet on the ground. The main goal is to recover as many points as possible and stay focused race by race.”
ALESSIO FINELLO #72
“We’ve had about a month and a half off: I’ve trained a lot during this time and I’m feeling very motivated. I really like Assen as a track, and I hope the temperatures are a bit cooler than in Italy. I’m ready: it will be crucial to find a good feeling with the bike right from the start, but I’m confident we’ll do a good job and that it will be a weekend of steady progress. We want to be fast and competitive—I’ve worked hard during this break, so I’m feeling pumped and can’t wait to be back with the team and hit the track!”
