FERRARI FIFTH IN RACE 1, TOP TEN FOR FINELLO IN RACE 2
MATTEO FERRARI #11
“We worked very well with the team this weekend, I’m happy with the speed and the feeling with the bike. Race 1 was a positive one, I was fast: unfortunately, I got stuck a bit in the opening laps and ended up fifth, but our potential was at least podium-worthy, so I’m happy. We had a few issues in Race 2: we could have battled for the podium, but something prevented us from doing so.”
ALESSIO FINELLO #72
“Two really tough races: I was doing quite well in the first one, I settled into a consistent rhythm which would have allowed me to finish close to the top ten, but then I crashed after a coming together with another rider, and my race ended with two laps to go, I’m really disappointed for that. I’m quite happy, on the other hand, with Race two, as I got a good start and showed a decent pace. Unfortunately, on lap one, I was abit too eager and went wide at turn 14, meaning I had to do it all over again. I managed to bounce back in the following laps and finished slightly above a five-second gap from the podium, which is a good base to build upon for the next race. Overall, it was a weekend in which we kept improving and that is good for the morale: now we’ll prepare the best way possible for the upcoming races, which will be all squeezed together; I can’t wait to be back on track to show what we’re capable of.”
