FERRARI INSIDE TOP3 IN #EMILIAROMAGNAGP FREE PRACTICE

A lot of smiles can be seen within Team Trentino Gresini MotoE’s pit-box after the first day of action at Misano World Circuit which brought competitive lap-times and good feelings on the bieks. Matteo Ferrari was among the protagonists of today’s free practice session courtesy of a competitive FP2 in which he set a 1’43.162secs lap-time for a third place in the combined timesheets.

Good performance and some more laps for Alessandro Zaccone on his Energica machine #61 as the Italian is trying to improve his feeling with the motorcycle. Half a second separates him from his teammate, but the young Italian is feeling more and more comfortable in this series.

This weekend’s timetable is different from previous rounds: no FP3, with E-Pole scheduled for tomorrow morning from 11:45 and then race one from 16:15 local time (GMT +2). A race one which can be even more important than usual, as the results will determine the starting grid for Sunday’s race two.

 3rd MATTEO FERRARI #11 (1’43.162)

“We started very well: we improved around half a second from last week and I think we’re all more or less at the limit. We did a great lap from which De Angelis also took advantage, but it is what it is. Tomorrow we want to and must do a great E-Pole, which is crucial to do well in the race. We’re good set-up wise and the race pace is excellent.”

 10th ALESSANDRO ZACCONE #61 (1’43.689)

“We did a little too radical changes to the set-up in FP1, while in the afternoon we went back to something we knew better, and things went well. We still need to improve something under braking and we hope to be competitive tomorrow.
