MERCILESS FRANCE FOR  INDONESIAN RACING GRESINI MOTO3

#FrenchGP race. The French Grand Prix lasts a couple of laps for Indonesian Racing Team Gresini with Jeremy Alcoba and Gabriel Rodrigo both down on lap two and three, respectively, in what was the fifth race of the season at Le Mans.

No injuries found after Alcoba’s highside at turn seven and a lowside at turn eight for Rodrigo, which in itself is the only good news in a weekend that was looking good on paper, especially for Rodrigo. Alcoba’s return to action after the crash leads to very little as the Spaniard was 22nd with a three-lap gap from the winner.

Moto3 proceedings will resume at Mugello in less than two weeks, with the first home event for Gresini Racing.

22nd – JEREMY ALCOBA #52 (15th in the championship standings – 18 points)

“I must say that the feeling on the wet this morning had improved a lot so I was very motivated ahead of the race. Maybe it was a bit too much because I wanted to push hard from the beginning in order to bridge the gap on the second group. It’s been a challenging weekend and I wasn’t able to make a difference: I also got a hit one glute, but nothing major.”

DNF GABRIEL RODRIGO #2 (13º in the championship standings  – 25 points)

“There’s very little to say: we had the pace to stay with the leaders, but I made a mistake exiting turn eight and there was nothing I could do afterwards. It’s a shame, because we were coming from a couple of difficult GPs and even today we came away empty-handed.”
