WET RACE IN ARGENTINA: SALAČ IS SEVENTH
Race – #ArgentinaGP It was a wet race the one undertaken by the Moto2 class in Argentina, with the race being held over a 14 lap distance due to the adverse weather conditions. As the rain stormed over the Termas De Rio Hondo circuit, Filip Salač managed to cross the finish line in seventh place from 13th position on the grid. With the nine points scored today he sits fifth in the standings.
Jeremy Alcoba, on the other hand, had a challenging start from the fifth row: the rider #52 was running in 21st place at the end of the opening lap as he did not have the right confidence in these conditions. He managed to make amends at the end as he made his way back to a 17th final place.
7th – FILIP SALAČ #12
“The day was complicated by the rain. We managed to get a good start and be competitive in the early laps without losing touch with the group ahead. I still struggled however to find the right feeling with the from-end and I chose to not take any risk and lose precious points for the championship. I would like to thank the team for the work done during the weekend, we will build upon this at Austin.”
17th – JEREMY ALCOBA #52
“I was happy with the work done in the dry, but the race turned out to be wet. I struggled a lot in the early laps to find the right confidence as I had never tried the wet set-up prior to today, so I focused on trying to find the right feeling early on. The bike wasn’t too bad, but we’ll need to do some more work to improve this set-up..”
