HERE COMES DIGGIA!

The first top 6 result in MotoGP arrives at the Mandalika International Circuit for Fabio Di Giannantonio, the sole rider to represent Team Gresini MotoGP in these final two days of action in Indonesia. After yet another good performance in qualifying, the 25 years old had a solid start to the race which allowed him to stay within the first 8-9 positions.

In the race, he has to first battle against Bezzecchi To whom he eventually had to give the position after overtakes and countermaouvres aplenty, But the pace showed by the 20 by the #49 is excellent, so much that  he even managed to keep behind the factory Ducati duo of Bastianini and Bagnaia.

Alex Márquez, on the other hand, Had to watch the race from the sidelines as he is currently resting As a precautionary measure due to the rib cage pain experienced yesterday in free practice 1.

6th – FABIO DI GIANNANTONIO #49

“I’m extremely happy, this is my so far best result in Moto GP as well as the smallest gap ever to the lead at the chequered flag. We had a great pace and honestly speaking I was and expecting this after FP3. We made a great step forward, too bad for the two mistakes at the beginning of the race that made us lose touch with the first group, but I’m still happy. We put together an excellent performance and now we need to work for tomorrow; I hope the shoulder will allow me to race at full potential. We’re still not 100% fit but we aim at a repeat performance.”
