IKER LECUONA – 9TH

“Very happy. We made progress in every session. Perhaps we could have done a little better in Q1, where I couldn’t put together a perfect lap. I had good race pace and decided to go with the soft tyre. I struggled a little with the tyre, but I really enjoyed the battle with Moreira during the race. I beat him and brought home another point in a Sprint race, where nothing can ever be taken for granted.”

“First of all, I want to apologise to Pecco and his entire team. I made a mistake while attempting an overtake and I’m really sorry about it. It was a difficult race. The double long-lap penalty didn’t slow us down and we showed good pace. Tomorrow we’ll try to bounce back. Once again, I apologise to Pecco.”
