MUGELLO IS NEXT FOR FEDERAL OIL GRESINI MOTO2 TEAM

The green hills of Mugello are awaiting the rise of Jorge Navarro and the Federal Oil Gresini Moto2 Team after another difficult performance at Le Mans. With few crashes and very little luck, the Spaniard has not managed so far this year to show all his potential.

The legendary Italian circuit was stage last year of Navarro’s first top-10 finish in the middleweight class of MotoGP – he was 9th at the line – for a result that started a string of good results. The goal is for the team’s home race to be the turning point of the season for Jorge.

The on-track action for the Moto2 World Champioship will get underway on Friday morning at 10:55 local time (GMT +2) with the first free practice session.

JORGE NAVARRO #9

“I’m really looking forward to racing at Mugello, after what’s been undoubtedly a very bad weekend in France. We analysed in detail all of Le Man’s race and I still don’t understand what happened when I crashed. In any case, it’s in the past now, so we’re ready to start from stratch in Italy but still using the base settings we found in Aragon’s test. Last year we did a great race at this track, which I really liked, and given the fact that’s also my team’s home race, we will be even more eager to do well.”
